I loved art as a teenager, there were old artists books in a chest I discovered and I was in awe! I convinced my mother to set me up with canvas and oils, I produced my first piece in like 2 hours from looking at the picture, and was very proud of my then crude, but accurate depiction of the original work. Let's just say my mother was not so impressed, and as with all the art mediums I tried from violin to dancing, I got zero support or encouragement. So the artist in me gave up!
35 years later after raising 4 kids, burying a husband, and my father, I was left with rediscovering myself! Looonnnnnngggg story short (again wait for the book) I picked the paints back up! I had a plan to be 50 and fabulous, now the goal is to be fabulous over 50 with style and grace!

While my original medium was oils, acrylic pours really caught my attention! I love the random images that pop up when creating a pour. I then feel the colors and shapes and decide if I want to add to it. Sometimes rocks, jewels, glow iin the dark paint and glue gun to created fun textures.

While my original medium was oils, acrylic pours really caught my attention! I love the random images that pop up when creating a pour. I then feel the colors and shapes and decide if I want to add to it. Sometimes rocks, jewels, glow iin the dark paint and glue gun to created fun textures.
This piece "The Grandmothers" was originally a pour that spoke to me and said I want to be a forest, the grandmothers on horses was a completely different picture I saw online.
The finished piece came out amazing!
